Bruce Smith came to us from the Gulf Islands High School where he taught music. Each year, he squeezed musical excellence out of the high school choir(s), and he did no less with the Salt Spring Singers. He was more demanding of us, and somehow we rose to the challenge. Musical highlights included performing Faure’s Requiem, and Karl Orff’s Carmina Burana.
